Welcome to Troop 414! 

We meet weekly during the school year on Thursdays from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm at Bedford Presbyterian Church, unless otherwise noted.

Troop 414 is a very active troop with monthly outings.

Our program strives to develop the core scouting principles of character, citizenship, community service, leadership, and outdoor skills.

 

In our 53 year history we have had the honor of graduating 131 Eagle Scouts.

New Eagle Rank Requirements effective Jan. 1, 2014

Sustainability and Cooking merit badges will join the list of Eagle-required merit badges over the next 14 months, the Boy Scouts of America’s National Executive Board announced today.

Sustainability Merit Badge FAQs

Upon its release during the summer of 2013, Sustainability becomes available as an option with Environmental Science as an Eagle-required merit badge. At that time Scouts may choose to earn Sustainability in place of the currently required Environmental Science.

New Cooking Merit Badge FAQs

Effective Jan. 1, 2014, the Cooking merit badge will be required in order to obtain the Eagle Scout rank.

Sunday, November 4, 2012
     •       Looking for volunteers to direct runners at two locations on the race course. This is a fun job!
     •       This opportunity is open to older Scouts and adults.
     •       For Scouts service time is available and this might count for their school community service time.
     •       The length of volunteer time is between 4-5 hours.
     •       Race swag will be provided (T-shirt, etc.)
