Welcome to Troop 414! 

We meet weekly during the school year on Thursdays from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm at Bedford Presbyterian Church, unless otherwise noted.

Troop 414 is a very active troop with monthly outings.

Our program strives to develop the core scouting principles of character, citizenship, community service, leadership, and outdoor skills.

 

In our 53 year history we have had the honor of graduating 131 Eagle Scouts.

No Troop Meeting Tonight

Following Troop policy, if school is cancelled due to weather the Troop meeting is also cancelled so there will not be a Troop meeting tonight.

Also, as a reminder, if you want or need a leadership position or would like to consider changing your leadership position in the Troop please fill out the attached leadership position application and return it to Andrew Carter or myself.

Cooking Merit Badge Eagle Required - New Cooking Merit Badge Requirements Available Online

As of 1/1/14 Cooking Merit Badge will be required for Eagle.  The new Cooking Merit Badge requirements are now available online here:

2014 National Eagle Scout Association Scholarship Deadline is December 1, 2013

2014 NESA Scholarship Applications

In 2014, the National Eagle Scout Association will award over 200 scholarships to Eagle Scouts ranging in size from $1,000 to $50,000 each. Deadline for submissions is December 31, 2013.

Personal Management Merit Badge

Scouts – Beginning December 5th I will begin working with Scouts who wish to pursue the Personal Management Merit Badge.  If you would like to be in the group and you have the First Class Rank or higher: (1) please email me by November 30th providing me the best email address to use to reach you – my email address is: michaelaverill@hotmail.com;  (2) plan on meeting (as a group) beginning at 6:00 PM at BPC on the 5th; and (3) print out and bring to the meeting on the 5th the Personal Management Workbook.  At the meeting on the 5th we will review what you will need to do to complete the requirements for this Merit Badge and set out a timeline to do so.
