Tonights Troop Meeting

Posted on Apr 24 2014 - 10:45am

Scouts and Parents,

We will have our troop meeting at Camp Allen tonight.

For those who asked the question, "where is it?", this should answer it (look at the attachment).

Please arrive at the parking lot prior to 6:30P, for those involved with setup - 6:15P.

Plan on 10 minutes walking time to the site.

The wind is a huge issue and we are working on the arrangements.  Be prepared to cook on stoves instead of charcoal fires on the ground (just incase).

I am checking the site and making arrangements for plan B cooking.

I will pick up stoves, fuel bottles, tarps, twine and misc.  I have charcoal in case that is possible.

If we need to cook on stoves instead of the ground, a small pan to put your "stuff" in would help.  Foil on the burner also works.  Don't forget Tongs.

If we cannot cook on the ground, consider this:  Part of being prepared is knowing when to say no.

Burning down the woods is not an option!

Personal Fitness Merit Badge

Posted on Apr 15 2014 - 3:57pm

Mrs. Delamater and I are organizing an opportunity to earn the Personal Fitness Merit Badge.  This is an Eagle required merit badge and is open to all scouts (including the new members of the Troop).  The merit badge requires a 13 week commitment to a fitness program. The spring/summer is an excellent time to earn this merit badge.  Tentatively, we are thinking of having a kick off on Sunday April 27th.  More details to follow.   If you are interested in this merit badge please email me at -  bakernh@comcast.net - to sign up.

YIS,

Mr. Baker
