Thank you Scouts and parents!  The first week of Scouting for Food was a success.  Thanks to your great support by 11:00 AM all the tag routes were accounted for.  This may very well be a record.  Today was a testimonial to scout spirit and citizenship.

Would you like to find out about "Ham Radio?"
The annual JOTA gets Amateur Radio (Ham) operators together with scouts on Saturday, October 18th.
At Camp Carpenter from 09:00-14:30 (2:30).
A class on the Radio Merit Badge will be held again this year.  
There will be a "Ham" station operating at several locations, demonstrating how it works and in some cases putting you "on the air!"

At the Radio MB class, I will be there with my station.

Hello.  Scouting for Food will be held this year on Saturday, November 1st and November 8^th .  

This week the troop meeting will be at Benedictine Park.

Also, the last day to sign up for the Fall Camporee campout is this Thursday 9/25. 

This announcement is for any scout interested in getting started on the Personal Management merit badge.  This merit badge takes a minimum of 12 weeks of activity to complete. This merit badge will introduce you to the topics of stocks, bonds, credit cards, credit scores, interest rate, buyer's remorse, budgeting your money and risk.  Mastering these skills is a requirement to become an Eagle and might lead to significant wealth and prosperity. The following scout alumni - Michael Bloomberg, Steven Spielberg, J. Willard Marriott, Ross Perot, Stephen Bechtel, Charles Dolan -  have done quite well after using the knowledge obtained in this merit badge .
