Welcome to Troop 414!

We meet weekly during the school year on Thursdays from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm at Bedford Presbyterian Church, unless otherwise noted.

Troop 414 is a very active troop with monthly outings.

Our program strives to develop the core scouting principles of character, citizenship, community service, leadership, and outdoor skills.

In our 53 year history we have had the honor of graduating 131 Eagle Scouts.

Important documents for adults and scouts attending the NH Jamboree

Attached please find an important guide for adults and scouts planning to attend the NH Jamboree. The NH Motor Speedway requires all participants sign a waiver before entry. The BSA also requires a BSA medical form (Part A and B) for all participants. The waiver for youth participants can be found on pages 5-6. The adult waiver can be found on page 7. Anyone that plans to do the rock climbing wall needs to complete the release on pages 8-9. Anyone planning to do the virtual surfboard needs to complete the release on page 10. Please complete and return these documents to me by Thursday, October 8^th. If you are not going to make the troop meeting on Thursday please sign, scan, and email them to me.

Popcorn Sales

It's been a good start to the Popcorn Sales season. I'd like to remind those of you that are selling Popcorn door-to-door or in the workplace that I'll be collecting your Order forms at the next 3 Troop meetings. You still have some time to get out and make a final circuit in your neighborhoods. Don't forget they don't have to pay for the popcorn until it's delivered, which can be a great way to close a sale.

The popcorn order forms are due to me no later than Thursday, October 15th. If you can't make a Troop meeting between now and then, please contact me directly, so that we can make other arrangements.

The popcorn orders will be available after November 13th. As we get closer to that date, I'll let you know the arrangement for order pick-ups, etc.

Olde Home Day - Troop Booth

The PLC has planned some fun activities for the booth at Olde Home Days on September 26th. This is an opportunity for our Troop to be visible in the community and hopefully recruit new scouts. Please sign up on the troop website so we know how many scouts will be there. It runs from 10am to 3pm. Add a note when you sign up the time you will be there.
