  The Survival campout at Camp Bell is fast approaching on 13 October.  I need a final headcount by this Thursday night n order to pick up MRE's and Freeze Dried food.  We will be hosting the Webelos as part of our recruitment drive. please see details on the website.

   (At least its morning as I type this!)  The list for the 13 Essentials of hiking can be found by selecting "Files" under the Menu section on the left hand side of the web page, then look for the folder cleverly labelled "Guides for New Scouts".  Its' that easy!   I'll be adding new content in there as we discusss new topics this year.

  I promised to make available my list of the 13 Essentails for Hiking and an introduction to sleeping bags 101, so please see the attachments!  For those who would like to order some brand new, very high quality military sleeping bags (-10 degree rating) they are now available in limited quantities for $50.  These are the latest military technology and comparable to $175 models currently in the market place.  They are soldier proof and nearly scout proof as well.  Let me know if anyone is intersted and I can place an order (I already have one if folks would like to see it prior to ordering).
