There will be an opportunity to earn the Eagle required Personal Management Merit Badge. The group will get started a week or so after the winter break at a time and place to be determined. This merit badge covers topics such as budgeting money and time, stocks/bonds and other investments, risk, return on investment, credit scores, buyers remorse etc. The merit badge is open to all scouts but the material is complex and younger scouts may struggle with the concepts.

Please sign up for the Pioneering and Cooking Camp Out on 9-11 December. This Campout will be a combination of Pioneering Skills and a Cooking Competition with an emphasis on Dutch Oven cooking and original Pioneer recipes. Patrol menu planning will require the use of a Dutch Ovens for Dinner (and preferably lunch!) Morning activites will include Pioneering Merit Badge skills review followed by the building of Patrol Projects using lashing and knots learned during the month of November. Patrols are encouraged to build " lean to" shelters using tarps and space blankets rather than using tents.
As soon as we have final approval of the location and date, we will plant a tree and install a plaque in memory of Danny Stauber at Camp Allen. Dr. Messina has generously obtained the tree and memorial and we will be looking for scouts to help in the planting and dedication. More to come as we finalize the dates, so stay tuned. - Mr. F.
