Hidden Valley Scout Camp at Griswold Scout Reservation offers a terrific program which includes a choice of merit badges, a great New Scout program (Frontier!), and a wide selection of troop and free time activities. Scout camp in camp-provided tents, and eat at the dining hall. For older scouts, they also offer the Voyageur programs either camping in the backcountry or floating down the river (for an additional fee), as well as their SPOKE program and COPE programs. Camp at Hidden Valley offers a great experience getting to know other members of the troop, as well as scouts from other units that you meet in the merit badge program.
Hello Troop, Matt Moore along with Mr. Eno and other adult chaperones will be organizing several hikes for the hiking merit badge this summer. We would like to open these hikes up to all scouts, even those not working on the hiking merit badge. We have limited chaperones for these hikes so there are limited spaces to go on these hikes. Scouts working on the hiking merit badge will have priority. Also these are strenuous hikes of 10 miles with altitude changes. First hike is scheduled for June 22nd, Mt. Garfield. If you are interested in going on the hike please sign-up and fill out the online permission form and we will notify you.
